Downtown power armour

Played another game of Sharpe Power Armour (our scifi Sharpe Practice/Chain of command mod) at the club. This time I brought my Therians to capture a data container, stored in a human town.

Civilians have fled and the planetary defense force have sent a nearby unit to intercept the Therians.

Therians deploy and skulk through the abandoned streets.

Soon the missiles and bullets are flying and clouds of chaff/flare/nanoparticles appear on the table.

When a Therian power armour suit appears in the street, a police officer that stayed behind decides to try and take it out by crashing his patrol car into it (random event).

My opponent activates the jump packs of one of his power armoured troopers and engages the run-over Therian in close combat, finishing off the already damaged Therian.

Medium power armoured Therians rush towards the car crash and more mayhem ensues.

Another random event (we're using quite a lot of Sharpe Practice flags, increasing the likelihood of a random event) ignites a truck which my Therian is using as cover.

Although my Therians have damaged the human power suits, they are still operational, while I've lost several units, bringing down my morale level to 1: game over for the Therians.

Building Power Armour troopers part 2

Look here for part 1

I wanted to equip my power armour troopers with a close-in weapon system to shoot down incoming missiles. Rummaging around in my bits box, I found some 1:48 rotary machine guns.

Together with a piece of guitar string and a chopped up Tau 40K flamer I turned this into a magnetized close-in weapon system.

This is how the power armour trooper looks with the different configurations after priming:

Close combat configuration with a right and not-left left close combat arm:

Heavy configuration with a main weapon arm, not-left left close combat arm and close-in weapon system on the shoulder harness (one of the hard points on the shoulder harness is a permanently fixed missile pod).

Another heavy configuration with a regular left arm and smoke/flare/grenade launcher instead of the minigun.

And per request a comparison snapshot together with a crooked-dice ghostbusters figure:
